    I have a 20-year-old cat, so I decided to read it to be on the safe side.

    Great stories. Loved it.

    And JG has a perfect sense of timing -- literally at the end of the story before the Jack Dempsey tale, I was thinking "he's mentioned the Garden, Stillman's, all the New York boxing landmarks of years gone by, but how can he not have a story about Dempsey's restaurant?" And there it was!

    I knew he hung out at the gym, but I wouldn't have guessed in a million years he was that into it. I've got a new and unexpected appreciation for the guy now. I haven't seen him in much as an actor. I usually see him as himself with a mic in his hand, doing an interview or something. I caught a bit of him playing Greg Louganis a long time ago. I think it was a made-for-tv bio. Interesting guy. I liked this part from the interview on sparring with James Toney:

    "He's always teasing me about my fiancé, cause he tries to get me fueled up to provide more motivation. He's always saying, 'I'm gonna make her my woman. You're not enough of a man for her.' That sort of thing. Of course that's gonna get to you."

    :lol: I bet that's just the tip of the iceberg. I don't even remember hearing James was ever supposed to face McCline. That would've been pretty interesting, if it had gone down.

    I couldn't watch yesterday when I wanted to, due to a misbehaving computer, but I got to it just now. That video may've only been a few years ago, but boy does it feel like FOREVER. I wonder what Mickey Walker thought about the laws of physics working against him for the Sharkey fight. :yep


    PS: If only Niko Valuev had a guy like you on his marketing team. :lol:
