LMAO at those that think SRL just forgot his speed and fought to lose on purpose when he fought Duran the first time. That **** is laughable.

Duran beats Pacquiao, but it's one hell of a fight where Pacquiao uses his own talents to get some great offense going from time to time.

Right --Pacquiao would absolutely cause problems for Duran for precisely the reasons that everyone who cries and lies that "speed and mobility beat Duran." Pacquiao can punch like hell and is physically strong -and that, combined with technical prowess, are what Duran was wary of in his prime.

Duran seems too big for Pacquiao, for me.

He can only "seem" it because he ain't. The tale of the tape is very similar.

Duran will get no argument from me. Whether at LW or WW, he would be a more than lively opponent, as opposed to the has-beens Pac has been feeding on as of late.

How many ****in' times do you have to have it spelled out for you, Mag ?

Montreal Leonard fought exactly the fight he said he was going to fight in Montreal.

    FACT.

Mag, Duran past welter had problems cutting the ring off against movers....Leonard, Benitez......

Pacquiao is no mover, he's going to come at you with offense and be there to hit......

I posted this in the general forum on this same topic...

Lol at the thought of pac even accepting a fight with a guy like Duran in his prime. Maybe at his current age. He'd still weight drain the hell out of him

I love Duran but this is an even fight .. Paq's speed, power and conditioning are an even match up for Duran ..

Ray has admitted he wanted to beat Duran at his own game and style. The fact Ray and then Wilfred and Tommy all beat him with speed, is proof that Duran had trouble with speed regardless of all the excuses of weight and age. And Manny is fast.

benitez was not a great mover on his toes, but he was a great defensive guy with his upper body. He outclassed Duran. I am just saying speed was Duran's achilles and Manny and most greats had that. Duran was great, but he really only beat one legit great fighter, who came back and beat him 2 more times with speed. The first time Duran beat him Ray fought his fight because he was a rather inexperienced fighter. All Ray needed was that one fight of experience to learn to fight his fight and stick to a gameplan. Manny has experience. It would be a good fight, but once Manny saw how he could not fight Duran, he would start using his jab and win a decision.
