I think I already said I don't know why Duran quit.

But don't be an idiot here. If he quit because he had to take s ****, thats hardly a lame excuse, and only an idiot would claim it was. Follow now?

If you can't, then lets wait until you have to take a bad ****, and me and you will fight infront of millions. let see how that goes for you.

One thing I promise. If you beat me over 45 freaking minutes of fighting, I won't say I fought the wrong style.

Duran also had a better common apponent record then Hearns. And this despite the fact that Duran was the older, smaller fighter in all of these fights, and Hearns never had the size or age disadvantage in these fights.

Someone should start a thread asking who is more ridiculous out of Rooster or Mag.

I know I have seen Mag say that Duran was really bigger then Hearns among other things.

When Mag once was going on and on about Duran not beating the all time greats, I tried te explain that Duran was in his 30s at a higher weight fighting these primed All time greats in their mid 20s and at their best weight. I tried to explain that rarely if ever in boxing history anyone had given up all of that and still beat someone PFP as good as Hearns,Benitez, or Hagler. I reminded him that Leonard tried once in his 30s to fight a very good primed fighter in Norris and got destroyed. His answer was that it was different because Leonard had lost his speed at that point.
    And he wasn't joking.

Rooster doesn't think his is either.

Give us the list of the 20 fighters you rank about Duran.

I know in the past you said M. Spinks was one.

I have said my criteria over and over what I think makes a great fighter. I made a list recently of the greatest fighters of the past 30 years. Here it is. Duran is 15. If he is 15 the last 30, I don't think he will crack top 25 AT. Take a look at the fighters and you know boxing.
    1. Sugar Ray Leonard
    2. Thomas Hearns
    3. Michael Spinks
    4. Larry Holmes
    5. Marvin Hagler
    6. Pernell Whitaker
    7. Evander Holyfield
    8. Julio Cesar Chavez
    9. Roy Jones Jr.
    10. Bernard Hopkins
    11. Wilfred Benitez
    12. Oscar Delahoya
    13. Mike Tyson
    14. Alexis Arguello
    15. Roberto Duran
    16 Aaron Pryor
    17 Virgil Hill
    18 James Toney
    19 Lennox Lewis
20 Michael Carbajal the only one I have a question about here is Delahoya. but this is how I made the list so I will keep it.
