Good post Gooners, very well researched. I just think Chavez wouldn't be able to mix it up against Alexis consistantly. I feel he would be coming into range getting on the inside, and that Alexis could get out from close enough to nullify Chavez's assault. This is at 130 obviously. Or were we talking about Duran vs Alexis??? This thread is so old I can't remember :rofl
Cheers. TBH fleaman we are both right on the Arguello thing. You say he struggled with Boxers and you are correct. I think im saying the same thing, but putting it a different way. I guess what im saying is.....what does a boxer generally do ? give side to side movement and mixes up his attack fighting from mid range to long etc etc. So in effect we are both on the same page imo. On Duran v Chavez i have Revised my opinion. When i read my opening statement back i kinda disagree with it myself now. I think it was a misguided argument to say Chavez would be physically stronger i see that now, and i think Duran could of mixed it up INSIDE with Chavez to. I rate Duran and Whitaker in my top 5 as two of the best inside fighters off all time. I guess i had my Chavez glasses on. Im a big fan Nice one:good
