Duran v Chavez who wins catch weight?

Well i dont understand how you are supposed to be tearing me a new ******* (boxing knowledge-wise) When i have pretty much said Duran would win just that it would be closer.

 

Okay i assume you mean Chavez was not as strong as Duran ? and that you more than likely think Duran was better inside? Here is a previous post of mine in this thread

The more i think about it the more i agree with you. I dont think Duran was necessarily that much stronger than Chavez physically, but he was more skilled at being physical, because he would tie his man up, and he used his legs as leverage to push his opponents back etc.

I mean when i look at Chavez's body type and Duran's. Chavez looks the more robust of the two. I guess that was my thinking behind it."

However i just dont think Duran would muscle Chavez around and have his way with him like he did with Palomino, and Leonard.

I mean to me i dont see how anyone can say Duran would of stopped Chavez. I guess its possible, but Chavez has never been knocked out in his prime. The guy had an iron jaw.

I mean Duran was excellent inside, but so was Chavez, and when you have two fighters who are so good inside who both take a helluva shot, aint no way its being a wide decision for either man, its always gonna be a close, because both men are gonna be in punching range majority of the fight. If you got a guy like Benitez/Leonard in there who use more lateral movement, and are slick you can make a case for wider score margins, but i cant get my head around people that think it would be one sided decision or that Duran would KO him.

 

I have not seen that man fight.

Ive never seen the guy fight. Who do you think would of won out of Duran and Arguello?
