This would be a multiple skilled pit-fight & Id be shocked if it ended in a KO/TKO.

I dont think there would be any real domination from the outside by either man but Duran`s superior defence & inside game wins a gruelling legendart ATG fight on pts for me at both weights.

    Duran W15 Pryor

Pryor would make it relatively tough for Duran, but his style plays into Duran's hands. He'd force an inside fight, and Duran was more or less unbeatable on the inside. If the fight were to go to the outside or stay at mid-range, I see Duran getting the better of Pryor there as well.

Pryor would be no picnic for Duran, however Roberto could mix it with Aaron if he had to. And because Duran had much better defensive skills, he would edge out a close UD.

Duran was a level above Pryor IMO.

Roberto Duran all the way, he fought the better talent and was the better complete fighter. Whilst Pryor was a great champion he is overated imo, especially by the american media who have created him into some kind of indestructible beast.

    Duran late rounds stoppage.

Definitely would have been a great fight, Duran would have won but Pryor would have made him work hard for it.

..this presents a problem. first you have to get six guys to drag pryor from his dressing room. then three more to get him into the ring. then a referee who can keep him from jumping OUT of the ring...then...aw hell...this fantasy fight is just too much fantasy to conjecture with.. :patsch

I've said it many times, IMO Pryor is absolutely made for Duran. Duran is one fighter who will definitely murder him for his basic mistakes, where as most others would not get past his unique style and assets. He's got nothing to overly worry Duran with IMO, Duran negates his strengths and would put enormous pressure on his weaknesses. If he goes hard i see Duran cutting him down inside 8, but more likely he would be forced to box and i don't think he'd have more than fleeting moments there either. Duran late stoppage or Aaron's durability and natural talents might get him the distance under that scenario.

If this fight actually happened it would of happened pre 1980 or post 1983, either way Duran wins easy, as Pryor is either too inexperienced fighting a prime Duran, or too much of a coke head to deal with the Hands of Stone.

As for a fight with both being at the top of their games, I take Duran to win a fairly easy decision at 135 (10-5) and a much closer decision at 140 (8-7).
