We had Duran vs Fullmer where I was in the minority going with RD. Now how about Duran going against the smaller Basilio at both WW and MW? I have Duran at Both
I will. Well he goes to these hall of fame events. I took a picture with him and when the picture was about to be taken he slams his hands to my face and covers it so that is how the picture looks. But a friend of mine told me when he was going to take a picture with him, he hit him in the nuts hard.. I just don't think he is a nice guy.
He did that to me and I didn't care much, but I wanted a good picture with him. I have one with his hand over my face and another normal one. My buddy got hit in the nuts hard.
Basilio fought on against SRR with a shut eye that looked like an "eggplant", plus his WW fights (some for title) with Saxton, DeMarco, Gavilan, Gil Turner, Ike Williams, Billy Graham, etc, means he brings enough to the table to deal with a lightweight moving up Duran. Basilio by SD over 15 rounds.
This is a better match up for Duran ,imo,Basilio found Fullmer too big and strong. Much more of a 50/50 fight imo. I might still go for Carmen , but he was a bleeder.
Duran, I saw Fulmer basically outbox Basilio at middleweight and stop him, Duran was too quick at welter and to slick at middleweight .
I just feel Duran has way too many tools for Basilio..im suprised at some of these responses. Most definitely at WW
