    hard to say.. Maybe.. He should have avoided Mike McCallum who was a big 154 pound guy like Hearns, who really was stronger than Donald and hurt him everytime he landed clean.

    Mike McCallum was tough at 154 for the same reason Hearns was. They were big enough 154 pounders. At 160 they were not as big. Mike was just too much for Donald and people say Donald did well, but it really only lasted 5 rounds in a rather technical fight.

    His weight troubles are well documented. Who knows how his fights would have panned out but it sure wouldn't be as bad as staying a bit long getting hammered by Honeyghan.

    Donald's problem was versatility of a Leonard or Hearns. They had a bit more options in the ring.. Donald was great with his style, but he didn't move enough on his feet to stick and move away from Lloyd, like Hearns or Leonard would have. When the style did not work, he either had to knock him out or gut it out. Which he couldn't.
