i know almost everyone will probably vote 4 Duran but chaves was a beast as well. it would be difficult to find a better fight than this. does anyone give chavez a chance in this one?
Duran wins, I have no doubts about that, just the more crafty, versatile fighter who also happens to hold the edges in Chavez's strengths, namely in-fighting. Whether by comfy UD or late stoppage is the question. 12 or 15 rounds?
Duran as he's more adaptable and elasticated technically. He gets off easier and isn't as measured and thoughtful as Chavez. This gives him a massive advantage to control the action and land punches. Better natural and instinctive fighter as well. I think Duran is a bit better at long range and stepping in behind his punches. Defensively he's got more variety with his moves at long range and inside for that matter.
