Cuevas could knock down a brick wall. It was Pipino.

Its a very entertaining KO..Duran only catches him with like 7 or 8 brutal shots before he finally hits the deck..

Sorry...I was only kiddin'! I watched back in the 80's when they fought and have it on DVD as well.

In answer to your question I believe Cuevas had more one punch power, but Duran had better sustained power...not to mention timing, speed, footwork, skill and just about every other physical advantage you could hope for.

IMO, yeah. I am not a Duran fan (although I certainly appreciate and respect his body of work), and like Cuevas much more personally....But Duran is a whole level or more beyond Cuevas. I guess if an unfocused, unprepared or undertrained Duran (I think they are the normal excuses) comes in Cuevas could possibly surprise him...But I doubt it. maybe in a 10 round fight where everything follows that above line...I can't see him stopping Duran and 12-15 rounds decreases pipino's chances...But even at his best I doubt he lasts 10 with Duran.
