    NOT TO MANY FIGHTER THESE DAYS FIGHT THE BEST and boxing is more of a business now in days. **** I'm only 24 but I know what you mean but SSR was a bad boy maybe someone like Jones would have beat him or Hagler. But Duran would beat Margo. I think Aaron Pyror would probably cause any lower class fighters of this day problems. I study boxing more than I should be reading my school books. But if this was the 70's and 80's Floyd would had to fight Cotto and other fighters would had to do the same

    Duran may have been too talented to get beaten by someone like Margarito. As of yet Margarito hasn't proven to be good enough to beat such a fighter. Margarito would be Chavez.

    Chavez and Duran were before my time so spare me :)

    I kinda' get what you're saying, but people tend to match up current fighters against past fighters they have little chance beating.. Not saying Margo can't beat any past great, but don't think he'll beat Duran..

    Yeah, Margo does have a good chin, but I don't think he could take punishment a whole fight against a slugger like Duran.. I can see the fight being stopped, but I just don't know if I can see the fight going all the way..

    No way Margarito lasts the distance. Doesn't matter how good your chin is if you take the kind of punishment he would given his defence, and against an operator like Duran who brings relentless pressure

    His corner could easily stop it, or the ref likely jumps in

    obviously, people are too hurt in their religious feelings to get my point.

    i repeat: nobody knows for sure how great the past greats really were in comparison to the top fighters today, it's all biased speculation...
