Someone make a case for Floyd cause I'm dying to see it.

Any time Floyd has fought a top pressure fighter he has had trouble, Castillo gave him hell, Hatton was doing well for 6 rounds, De La Hoya who is a boxer, applied the tactic and did well, Cotto did well and so did Maidana. All of them together don't add up to a Prime Duran.

if floyd fought duran like he did in the maidana rematch then duran would quit and cry in a corner

At 135 Duran murders him. At 147 where Mayweather, just like Leonard, didn't want the fight and could run like Usain Bolt, Mayweather wins. Duran went into a ring to fight, not play tag.

Both in top form Duran wins and hurts Floyd in the process. Roberto had a lot of speed, defense and would be able to make Mayweather fight him off rather than fight him. It wouldn't matter what tactic Floyd chooses. He moves/runs he may get beat worse.

Seriously who has Maywether fought that would've been able to spar with Duran and give him good work?

If we ever see Mayweather Pacquiao we'll know who would've won. I'm not sure how, but I'm convinced Manny and Roberto are the same fighters.

halbrikj, what an ass you are, to compare duran & pac!! pac lacks the fundamentals which roberto had in his lightweight days son!!

Floyd easily beat Castillo in the rematch. I think he also quite easily beat DLH, Cotto and Maidana (in the rematch). Maidana did better in the first fight, but even that one was only even for the first six. That every fight where Floyd loses 3-4 rds is deemed "tough" says something about how superior he's been.

With that said, I can certainly see Duran giving him hell and winning a decision. The Duran of Montreal would be a nightmare for just about any WW ever.

Your the one making the threats.

And he's right, if you think that lunging in off balance, no defence fool Pac is in any way similar to Roberto Duran, then you must be an ass.

Floyd is great but Duran greater and Floyd would not be a winner in the era of Duran,Leonard and Hearns at welter

Duran at his very best is the greater fighter, and always sought out the greatest challenges.Duran at his best wins..but Floyd is always motivated, always in shape...If Duran doesn't have his act together....?

Duran is levels above Pac and that fact is as obvious as day on film.

Floyd would have serious trouble against prime Duran. He would get chased out the ring.

I agree; Duran quit in disgust as much as anything. Leonard used similar clowning tactics against Hagler, too.
