A ruthless, absolutely brutal beating, the referee and Moore's corner really should have saved Moore from himself as the kid was way too outgunned and had way too much heart to quit. Also, what an atmosphere that night, the Latin fight fans sure know how to make some noise.
Duran was like a killing machine in the 7th...why Moores corner let him out for the 8th is beyond me.
yeah Duran always got great support in New York. I've read some where that Moore's wife and mother fainted at ringside. That right hand over the top though that dropped Moore was a ****ing screamer, I mean seriously, no ****ing way would I want to get caught with a punch like that :nono
A lot of fighters would have just stayed down after that, wouldn't have been able to blame Moore in the slightest if he didn't want to get up from that.
Its pure disdain and it was with him all through his career...just watched the 8th again and he didn't miss with one shot that he threw, love him or loath him he was pure class.

I watched this fight last week as i have just bought a Duran Career set on DVD, the ref was a disgrace in that fight IMO for not stopping it sooner!
