Pac wouldn't of had a prayer against Duran in the early 70's but than again steroids were legal back then and manny could've roided up unharassed but Roberto still would've kicked his ass.

Whose chin's holds longer will win. That's how I envision the fight.

I love how people automatically assume that Duran would win cuz he's a legend...Pac wins this fight anywhere above 140

People always romanticise about fighters from the past. It's almost as if they think no modern day figter is capable of beaten the old guard.
As soon as a fighters hey day is 20 years old, they are made from kryptonite.
Come on... Why wouldn't pac have beaten him. I think he stands a chance with anyone from any era.

I bet in 20 years time, people will talk about manny like he was made in a government lab out of the hardest material known to man lol

Pac would never fight a prime duran.

Pac would fight a 40 year old Duran. But not a younger Duran.

If Pac has ducked Humberto Soto, Juan Diaz, Joan Guzman, Edwin Valero and so many others, how do you think he would ever step in the ring with a prime Duran????

Pac only likes to fight Old has-beens, shot, weight-drained fighters.

To this day, Pac has NOT stepped in the ring with a prime good fighter.

I agree. Pac does have a chance. And it's not as lopsided a fight as people make out. Both quick (Manny with the edge), both have power in either hand (Duran with the edge IMO).

As 1 poster said previously, it may well have came down to who's chin held up.

I do agree with u on one point. People do overrate old fighter to a huge extent.

Duran's power is so greatly overstated in these forums.

well if this fight is going to be stopped is going to be the corner or on cuts. Both man are/were iron chinned iron willed. I'll go with Duran in this fantasy match up but I went against pac in a lot of real match ups and he always proved me wrong. My biggest argument is that Pac has never fought a fighter of Duran caliber (top 10 ATG) while Duran fought a couple of 30/40 ATG and proved to be competitive with everyone exept Hearns.

Do you realize that at the time that he decided these people were completely unknown. Guzman is not on an all time great streak now. Pac was going to fight Valero eventually and Soto come on

Didn't he knock out 70 opponents from lightweight to middleweight including 7 of his first 10 fights after becoming LW champ.
