He has been KO in 3 rounds twice before. He was KD for 10+ seconds against Nedal Hussein in the 4th round, and he's been badly wobbled by gatekeepers like Larios and Solis, and was beat by a shot Morales.

    :think

    Duran would **** him up.

I'm not sure he is too small for Welter. I mean look at his record. ODLH KO, Cotto KO, Hatton (I no was at 140 but let's count it anyway as there was no LWW in Durans era) KO, Clottey UD against a huge WW. That's 3 KOs in 4 fights. No way is he too small at WW.

In comparison, Duran lost to Benitez (at LMW) lost to Haglar at MW, was KO'ed by Hearns and lost again to SRL.

To me comparing them records, it says to me Pac isn't too small at WW, but Duran was to small for MW. Just an opinion

The distance. But Pacquiao would have lost.

I think Pac is borderline too small for WW. People call Berto a small WW, and the difference between him and Pac in body size is eye-opening.

Either way, I would've loved to see this fight. @ 135, I think it could have been one of the greatest fights of all time, and I would favor Duran. At 147, I wonder if Pac's combination of hand/foot speed and accuracy/timing would have been an edge that he could exploit.

Would rival Hagler Hearns. Of course it's impossible to say with any real conviction exactly what would have happened. But it would have been a war, that's for sure. Neither guy knows any different.

What advantage would that be? Boxing has regressed a lot.

At 135 - Duran by 8th round TKO
At 147 - Duran by 12th round TKO but touches the canvas himself

But Pacquiao is still the more accomplished boxer career wise.

I don't think weight would make any difference in this one. At 135, 140, 147 and 154 Duran would systematically break Pacquiao down as the rounds go by and get a ref stoppage in the late rounds.

Probably goes the distance unless its a 15 round fight. Duran wins clearly at any weight.

I always have to laugh at the "Pacquiao destroys Duran at 147lbs" comments. Give me a break, Duran would have left Cotto and Margarito in a heap.

Pacquiao blew Cotto and Margarito away. The Cotto fight should've been stopped earlier and Pacquiao eased off on Margo because of the state of his face.

What confirms to me that Duran would defeat Pacquiao at 147 is not any weakness shown by Pacquiao, it's the sheer calibre of Duran's performances against Leonard and Palomino.

    That's another level entirely IMO.

    Agreed.
For example, Paul Williams would never be in any P4P lists in any other era, but he's been on and off of it for the last ****ing 6 years and he's not really done anything amazing besides shrinking his ass down to 147.
