Duran vs Pac: How long would it have lasted?

I'am a full on ******* & proud of it, as an earlier poster said he's somewhat a duran of today in someways but he'd get destroyed by duran & if anything manny is tailer made for duran & this ends only one way & thats Manny being beaten to a pulp.

Duran's more than just satanic hate/aggression & ferocity, he's a master boxer with god given defensive skills & thats why he's the compleate package. I've travelled to vegas twice now to watch Manny & at my age i'am over the moon that this great little man is around for me to shower praise on. But Manny is a product of later years adaption & is now fighting a more refined fight by way of defence & tactics but when you are in with a killer like Duran who'll suffocate you in violence/climbing up your chest/superb head movement/feints you to death or chose to slip yer lead & counter you as he did Hagler it all = an obvious Duran victory.

Manny just does not possess the skill set too really trouble Duran. If Manny attacks then he'll get smashed to bits real rapid & if he chooses to slip/slide & move around hoping to catch Duran on the way in then again he's in for a brutal 10 rounds tops. Leonard said he was shocked at Durans speed of counter & Duran slipped Leonards lead all night then jumped onto his chest & unloaded for near every second of the round & at 147 Manny will just be over whelmed & it would be a truly sensational battle as long as it lasted but manny will go the way all the rest did especially at 135 & smashed to bits. If you run he'll get you & just go watch the Bizzaro fight for olympic speed on the retreat but Duran got him in the end.

You've only got too look at the Marquez fights to see that Manny is a bit of lunger & wide open when in attack mode & at 147 Margo hurt Manny on the ropes & one thing is a 1000% cert & that is if Duran gets him on the ropes then it's over, it's not a case of IF manny gets stopped...it's a case of WHEN......Uppercuts & body shots:smoke

Duran by decision maybe late stoppage. Duran has better defense than Pacquiao and while I think Pacquiao has better offense Duran's is not too far behind.

duran wins easily at 35 - he beats anyone in the modern era(say post 65) at light weight except maybe p-whit (that would've been a fight of styles) but at 147 or above it evens out a bit for pac. anyone know - apart from hagler - how Duran went against south paws?

manny's there to be hit and he wouldnt want to be against hands of stone. i have to say duran wins at 135 but at 147 and above its 50-50

 

Duran beats him at 135. "Hands of Stone" is untouchable at this weight class IMO.

Duran beats him at 140.

Duran beats him at 147. Handles a young and prime SRL... but people think Pac beats him? Right.........

Duran beats him at 154.

Duran beats him at 160.

Duran beats him at 168.

I'll take Duran by KO at any of these weights. Duran's defensive abilities are highly under-rated by a lot of younger fans as well. The guy was great at slipping punches and cutting off the ring.

(Iran Barkley KO'd Thomas Hearns... and beat him two times overall. Just putting that information out there before you make another ridiculous comment.)

After watching, you will understand what an ass-hat you are for making that comment about Duran's defensive ability.

To say either guy wins this easy is a stretch. It would be a tough fight. One of the best matchups ever possibly.

 

You're exaggerating. Duran-Leonard was the best.

Duran is no Margarito, no Cotto, no Barrera, no Marquez, no Morales, he is arguably the 5th best fighter to ever live!

Leonard is possibly the 4th best fighter to ever live!

 

Lets be real, lesser fighters have gone deep into fights with Roberto.

Manny will more than hold his own for quite a long time...but gradually he gets beaten down and possibly stopped.

I think he gets dropped once or twice in losing a clear but not landslide decision that he never really recovers from.

 

I have done, many a time. He was a true great but Manny is making all the same noises mate.

 

pac doesn't last more than 5.
