I thought April Fools day was in April...

Duran by Late TKO, nobody can handle his pressure. I'm speaking of course of both fighters in their prime stage at this weight.

I think he must mean the Duran that fought Laing, with both hands tied behind his back.

Stylewise this fight has Floyd Mayweather all over it, although Floyd could not sit on the ropes with Duran that would be a mistake, but I say Floyd by 12 round decision. Bad style for Duran as speed always was. Give him a fight with Ricardo Mayorga or Margarito and he wins in spectacular fashion. and Duran might beat Mosley since Shane does not move around on his toes enough and doesn't have the power of Hearns to offset him. But Floyd would win a decision, and I am not a big Floyd fan at all.

The poor man's Kalambay would be foolish to attempt a win here.

Don't know it could be a repeat of Benitez-Duran but I'd have to go with Duran by either decision or stoppage.(Mostly decision)

Golly I sure want you to think that I know something about boxing so without any crittical analys I will just go a head and pick that Duran by ko in 1.:D
There see I know my boxing yea Me.:happy

Ok now to be serious with my pick. I know it is fashonable in the classic fourm to pick the older boxer over the the more recent bvoxer and that Druan is invinclble. See the thread in the classic fourm about him beating heavyweights. Yes Duranis a great fighter who has outstanding boxing skills including underated defense. This being said he can not out box master boxers and yes I would put Mayweather in the catagory of master boxer. Duran's only chance is the early stopage while mayweather is still figgureing him out. If it dose not happen by round 4 Mayweather will pick him apart. Mayweather has outstanding defense and shows no signs of having a week chin. Boxers like Duran, Chavez and Pacquiao are all great fighters but will always come up short against an oppoent with better boxing skills.
    Mayweather 9-3 or 8-4.

ripcity i'm the polar opposite of a Duran nuthugging zealot, but in this particular matchup, there is no way that Mayweather could impose his will on an ultra aggressive volume puncher with a good chin, so i see Mayweather on the back foot with a low punch output, i think his defensive skills could keep him out of danger of being KOed the entre fight, but the constant pressure would keep him tentative and too cautious to fire anything significant back. I think the most likely outcome would be Duran close UD.

This matchup to me, makes me think of Ali Vs Frazier I

As with Leonard in Montreal, Duran would be on fire for this one and nothing will deny him. PBF gives a valiant defensive effort and has his moments, but Duran just has a little too much motivation and wins on points.

Duran eats mayweather alive. PBF couldn't handle roberto's pressure or ferocity and couldn't hurt duran with anything that he landed. And while he is a great defensive fighter he doesn't have the legs needed to consistently stay away from duran.

mayweather would do much better than anyone in this forum will actually give him credit for. i wouldnt put my money on him but he has a style that could at least trouble duran
