Duran vs SRL I or Hagler vs Hearns

    Which one is the greater fight?

    Overall, not just in terms of excitement in the ring

    imo its Duran-SRL by a landslide although both are great fights.

    I'm a huge fan of Hagler and Duran, but I'd go with Duran-SRL myself......the first one of course!

    "overall" its for sure SRL/Duran I. But my favorite fight of all time remains Hagler/Hearns

    I'd say the best was Leanord vs Hearns. That fight had it all. Brutality, finess, you start off with one guy being the stalker and teh other guy being the boxer and then half way through the fight they switch roles and they both did both things really well.

    If I had to pick between the 2 options the thread gave I'd say Hearns vs Hagler

    I've seen quite a few rounds more brutal than Hagler-Hearns round 1.

    They just didn't come in the 1st round of an eagerly anticipated superfight.

    As much as I loved the first round of Hagler-Hearns, my favorite ever. This has to go to Duran/SRL I, that fight was great over 15.

    I pick Duran vs SRL. I never understood the hype with the Hagler vs Hearns. Best first round of all time, I give you that. But the rest of the fight is Hearns trying to survive with a broken hand.
