Yeah its more likely than not that trinidad survives the early rounds.
I do think Duran would beat JCC handily, I dont think he has a very good chance at all tbh.

The key thing is Duran's ring IQ. If he fights the perfect fight he can outpoint him. If he stands infront of GGG, lets him pound his body too much, or faiils to get atleast a little respect early he will pay for it badly

I disagree. Duran's only chance of giving Golovkin a competitive fight is to crowd him and swarm him. Even then, I think he gets caught with hard punches sooner or later and stopped. You seem to underestimate Golovkin's ring generalship/IQ and his outside game.

    vs Pacquiao at 135 (W TKO 7 in a war--fair)
vs JMM at 135 (TKO11 in a surpisingly high-action fight where JMM gets the worst of the exchanges)
vs FMJ at 135 (most likely swarms & outworks Mayweather to win a decision; Floyd could outpoint him though. Definitely don't see Duran stopping him).
vs Whitaker at 135 (W SD 12--outworks and outscores Whitaker)
vs Hatton at 140(W KO 6-8, brutal and exciting)
vs Gatti at 140 (W TKO 4, one-sided and brutal)
    vs M.Taylor at 140 (W late TKO)
vs JCC at 140 (go back and forth on this one; probably Duran late tko)
vs SRR at 147(L TKO 6 if Duran tries to brawl, L UD 118-110 if Duran tries to box like he did vs Hagler)
vs Cotto(pre margarito) at 147(W TKO 7, exciting - fair)
vs Mosley at 147(W SD 12, very close)
vs ODLH at 147(W UD 12-- Oscar jumps to lead early but wilts down stretch)
vs Trinidad at 147(W TKO 10)
    vs Mayorga at 154(no idea)
vs Alvarez at Caneloweight(155) (W 116-112 if he boxes and moves; very tough fight if he tries to slug with Canelo)
    vs 2001 Hopkins at 160(L UD 12 118-110)
vs GGG at 160(L tko or wide decision)

Vast majority seem like reasonable predictions even if I disagree. Edited to put in my picks above.

Not really. He was trying to outbox Hearns from mid-range, mostly. He'd have to get much closer than that and do a lot more work on the inside to accomplish anything against Golovkin. Similar result in the end though, probably.

Canelo has ALOT less power than people think, Duran is significantly harder to hit than cotto, has a MUCH MUCH better chin than cotto and canelo wasnt even close to stopping him.

You guys may be right on GGG but I stand firm with my predictions on every other fight because i have studied all of them except GGG

I agree that Canelo's power is overrated but he puts his combinations together very nicely and is dangerous for anyone who fights him too aggressively. Canelo almost certainly would have stopped Cotto had Cotto tried to slug with him.

I like your picks with the exception of Whitaker, who I think Duran would win by close decision. I think GGG is a step too much for Duran, but it's hard to say as you make some very valid points regarding Hagler and Barkley. I think Duran's achilles heel wasn't simply power against the guys at 160 or 154, it was also the reach and height disadvantages that started to play a factor, with Hearns being to most obvious example. So good boxers with lots of power and reach advantages at 160 are the type of fighters who are going to trouble Duran, and GGG falls into that category.

But this is a hell of a good list and just reinforces how great of a fighter Duran was.

Nice predictions here. I don't see Duran stopping Chavez though. Duran UD would be the likely outcome imo

I think Duran was forced to fight Hearns at mid range. He was trying to get inside but Tommy was having none of it.
