Duran possessed subtle defensive ability that made him hard to catch with anything really clean and good luck hitting him with any more than one clean punch at a time when he was at his peak. Combined with his ferocity, combination punching, and power, that makes him a clear favorite to beat any of the three fighters mentioned. Like Cesar and Bogatozo, I don't think any of the three get destroyed. They have their share of moments...Duran is just likely to have more in each of these match-ups.
Marquez is made for Duran. Duran would win that fight. Pacman is pickem. More edge to Pacman because he has beaten greats... and Floyd would beat Duran.
Duran did not fight a great until 1980. All 3 would be better fighters than he ever fought at lightweight believe it or not.
It's a valid point, just on what I've seen he was a monster at lightweight.Never seemed just as intimidating later for me.I always thought the general concensus was that he peaked at lightweight and had that invincibilty that only he had but looking at his record I see what you mean about true crossover greats.:thumbsup
Pacquiao and Mayweather have never beaten somebody with the head to head quality of Esteban De Jesus and Ernesto Marcel at the time they fought them imo. Let's not even talk about the Leonard win (and if you want to bring up the second fight with Ray fighting his "usual style", do me a favor and off yourself).
