Duran got schooled by De Jesus, who outboxed and outfought him in almost all rounds in 1st fight. Prime Floyd can repeat that.

And third... I'm merely making the point that the Duran from 2 and 3 was disregarded in your point, nothing more. Who's to say that isn't the Duran Floyd would be facing?

The point is Duran wasn't unbeatable even at 135lb. Some people forgot that.

Duran at his peak beats Mayweather Jr. Close but clear UD with perhaps a knockdown on the way. :good

Yeah, is this the same Roberto Duran who couldn't catch Leonard and got his ass whupped? All Floyd would have to do is run and counter punch and he'd throw another fit.

All the old fighters get glorified, it distorts the reality. You think Mayweather will be dumb enough to have another war with the likes of Hatton/Duran, when these fighters are easily beaten.

No, Duran has to be revered at all times. Don't pay attention to his numerous career losses to some ordinary fighters, and don't look at the circumstances in which he lost because he is the best ever.

I'm sorry, the question was can Floyd beat Duran.

Everyone is saying no, when Duran was clearly beatable. Leonard beat him without sweat in the second fight, and Mayweather is practically the same fighter with better defence.

What Duran did afterwards is irrelevant - all your posts that Duran is some sort of unbeatable god is irrelevant too. This question is what would happen if Duran of the '80s fought Mayweather now.

Don't know bouts massacre floydy, but wood whip em pretty bad. 1980 montreal roberto duran could be the greatest fighter ever on that day! Of course my # 3 lbflb all-time. Floyd vs wink @154 should of happened I have winks by a close win. Of course castillo beat em & was robbed! Paul williams vs floyd now wood put em as a good one if he beats paul - I highly doubt it. Couldn't care about humidity. You going to use that as an excuse?.

Lets not forget, Duran was fighting in the same conditions as De Jesus.

I think the word "massacre" is getting a bit carried away.
