Ohhh dear. I smell double standards. It really is a strong odour. C'mon now, you're making complete fool of yourself. Duran gets excused but Toney doesn't. A peak Toney.

Personally, I dont think either should be granted exuses. Both beat great versions of eachother, in the 1st and 2nd fight. Even Stevens. Leonard fans shut up about 1st fight duran clearly outslugged him, duran shut up you got embarrased in the 2nd fight and made to look like little school girl. thats the way i feel about it.

Now I am a leonard fan, but I feel SRL gets way to little credit for rematch win from Duran and Duran supporters who by into the sensationalism that durans condition was ****.

Great impersonation of Red Rooster on your previous post. Very 'Rooster' like post if I've ever seen one. "a peak Toney" that was a real chuckler. :good

You're right in that it was competitive, and Marcel actually performed well from mypoint of view. But i thought Duran actually pefromed brilliantly in that one.

The whole deal with 'Lenoard lost the Montreal fight' rather than 'Duran won it' is horse manure through and through. I could pick this debate apart and go allday. In fact i have too many times. Cba

Duran had a great resume, but it would have been greater if he moved to 140. A win over Cervantes would have been great for him. I don't know if he could have beaten Pryor, but if he did, just think of what it would have done for his reputation.

Pryor would have been tough for Duran but winnable. I see Pryor having the edge is he boxed. Pryor could not go to war with Duran like he did with Arguello, that would not work. But speedwise Pryor was faster.

Duran would eat Pryor alive in my opinion. You don't come up Duran that way and not get ground into meat, even better then Pryor was capable of it.
