Today during sparring, my sparring partner hit me hard in the back of the head. I stepped back and tapped my head, saying careful, and he shrugged and kept sparring. Didn't touch gloves, or nothing.

My response was to, from my point of view, beat the crap out of him. Parried and countered his punches, and pretty much hit hard with hooks.

What would be the idea way to deal with this situation?

it's a bit dickish to not acknowledge u rabbit punched a person with a glove tap or sorry or w/e...but hey, **** happens all the time and most of the time it's accidental. Don 't sweat it man, let it go.. Less he tries to do it to you. Then rain hell on his soul. Or just punch him in the balls. u decide which.

Agree. Not cool. Did you say something to him afterward?

If he did it again, I would foul back. Get Andrew Golota on his ass.

Congrats on retaining your sportsmanlike conduct. But what a douche to rabbit punch and not even apologize.

I agree. You must become The Cockpuncher. Throw a wayward body shot if he's being an *******. Accidental fouls happen.

Yeah, we talked today. Apparently he didn't realize what happened, and apologized for it.

    Just get on with it.

Rabbit punches and low blows are part and parcel of sparring just as they are in fights, intentional or not.

More so as sparring can be of all different standards dependant on others experience.

Would of thought that giving him a working over afterwards as you mentioned would of been enough.
