Duran has powerful legs and a small frame. He's tough to hit with a jab and moves in and out very quickly. I would see him pushing Hearns against the ropes and making it hard for Hearns to move out sideways. Punishing his body and tiring him out.

It would wear Hearns down if he were able to work his way inside without paying the price. Not even Leonard was able to do that, and the only times Leonard was able to make Hearns pay were when he would catch him with a big shot. That takes one punch power, something Duran lacked, though he was a devastating accumulation puncher. He'd need to be able to outslick Hearns, find his way in, and out-muscle the much bigger man often without paying the price in order to have any chance at winning a Decision or late stoppage. I don't think their actual matchup is how it would've played out prime for prime at WW, but I do think Hearns poses more of a stylistic dilemma for Duran than any other WW, period, including Robinson, who I'd give a Montreal Duran a better chance at beating.

Duran is the best fighter I ever saw.
He takes Delahoya apart by rd.10.

I totally agree. Duran is my favorite fighter, but Hearns is just a bad matchup for him at any weight. SRL couldn't outbox Hearns, and the "Montreal Duran" version wouldn't do better.

Duran vs ODLH. Like everyone Duran by late stoppage or UD.

Duran would batter ODLH mercillesly for 15 rounds. I think he would be no better than 50:50 with Pea and Hearns at his peak. At lightweight only Pea is close in my book. Another 50:50 fight

I doubt ODLH would last 15 rounds against Duran. If pushed I suspect ODLH would quit during the fight. We know he gets tired and he does quit.
