Let's go Poirier!
Poirier really has a shot here. His undoing is usually against big punchers. That Khabib is not. Really good fight. I actually think Poirier and Gaethje have the best chance at beating Khabib. Followed maybe Cerrone and Ferguson.
Do you think Poirier's Jujitsu will be effective against Khabib?
I think if Poirier can nullify his grappling and keep it standing he can win. If Khabib gasses/here hurt then or course Poirier BJJ can be effective.
Is Poirier a black belt in bjj? If so, it could turn out to be a deciding factor after being taking to the ground.
Yeah i'm happy for Poirier he deserves his shot and I hope he can get it done against Khabib with the winner getting Ferguson next after he disposes of Cerrone.
I have wanted to see Poirier against Fergurson for years as it has fight of the year written all over it and I really like Fergusons chances against Khabib if Dustin doesn't get the win at UFC 242
