I hope he does finally fight Kovalev and gets starched. I'm honestly getting tired of his bs everytime there's a fight, he only wants to fight in Oakland, my mangers an *******, I signed with ROC and they haven't done ****. I think he's a talented fighter but his career has been a total waste the last few years and there's plenty of people he could have fought to stay active but chose not to. He's to inactive and to arrogant and I'll be glad to see Kovalev shut him up.
Please explain how he's so arrogant. He's one of the most humble men in the sport and a God fearing man. He's doing what everyone else does. He wants what he's worth, is that a crime?
Or maybe everyone has claimed Ward is a pain in the backside with his diva demands and his 12 fans, so maybe he is the problem :think
Trash like kovalev will never beat Ward. Kovalev is arrogant...his promoter is shi.t and gets him shi.t money...but you love him. :think
Wasn't she recently bragging about having Russian backers who could afford to make anything happen? So throw that money at the problem and solve it. Of course she's complained about being unable to make other fights, too, so maybe ME is the common denominator. HBO says "We'll televise your guy(s), but we're not going to invest a lot in them."
That's funny since she got the Pascal/Kovalev and Hopkins/Kovalev fights made. Remember, Pascal and Hopkins were negotiating with Stevenson too. The fights fell through. Plus, people supposedly always have difficulty negotiating with Ward.
Supposedly Ward has beef with HBO. He has a 3 fight deal with HBO (2 tuneups + Kovalev fight). HBO wants to count the fight he pulled out of in November, Ward doesnt. Maybe he dragging his feet to make HBO acquiesce to his wishes
Well she gonna be in hell when he doesn't sign to fight kov..people are hoping he will but do ya self a favour and forget about it..
That is what I was also wondering since he fought Smith on BET IIRC. I always wondered since he had the 3 fight deal if Smith counted or not. I'd be ****ed off if Smith didn't count and Ward gets 2 more fights before Kovalev. It'll make the fight that much harder to make. People say contracts are already signed, but I also thought it was the same with the Barrera fight.
No he signed the three fight deal with HBO after the Smith fight. Ward was suppose to fight in the Cotto-Canelo under-card against Alexander Brand, but he pulled out because of a swelling on his knee. Supposedly the contract states that after June Ward has to fight Kovalev. Ward wants his tunes-up before fighting Kovalev, and he probably will fight again in July. But at the same time I believed it was a three-fight contract he signed, so the canceled fight against Brand didn't count.
