I dont pay much attention to the guy TBH ... i have eyes and watch many match ups so form my own opinion ... some right some wrong ! :good

 

I think it's just because Dwyer has perfected that intellectual tone and attitude where it sounds like he’s speaking in certainties. His technical breakdowns are very interesting and his reasoning is usually sound, but some of his picks are a little ******ed.

I always come back to his pick for Cotto-Foreman (knowing a few on here made the same pick). He wrongly asserted Cotto has trouble with fighters who move a lot, when the facts say otherwise. He can look sloppy trying to catch them, but he pressures movers until they get tired and try and back him off. Then he catches them to the body and takes their legs away. Or he used to, at least.

Foreman has an ok jab, no right hand to speak of and relied entirely on his movement to win him fights. Cotto simply stepped to the side and caught him with jabs and hooks. It was a clinic.

And Dwyer’s reasoning that Foreman had beaten a fat, slack Santos looked utterly stupid. Simply looking at the guys Cotto’s struggled with pointed out he find combination punchers who force him onto the backfoot difficult. Not light-hitting pot-shotters like Foreman.

He gets them wrong, and sometimes he doesn’t do his research. But some people listen to the arrogant way he says things and think he must know his ****.

He does, sometimes. But no more than most of the posters on here.

 

He spoke of Froch's defence in the same breath as Sweet Pea's.

I think he would be your decent analytical poster on here. Someone who obviously looks at the fights more then others who would post ''Khan wins cos he he's fast and is 5'11''. He does decent video's but he's nothing special. I think the Midlands fella who does the vid's ain't bad at times. Has a laugh and speaks like a true fan not like a robot.

 

Cee Lo's ok. He always says it's only his opinion, and invites you to offer up an opposing viewpoint. I'd love to know how much he's made (if anything) on that betting system of his though..
