I like Quawi with the pressure and endurance to win a really good fight.

At 190, I definitely favour Toney by close decision.

Qawi gets on his chest and outworks him.

Toney doesn’t have the feet stay away and keep it on the outside, and he also isn’t better than Qawi on the inside.

Another vote for Qawi. Two of my favorite fighters but I like Qawi more at 190.

This would be a textbook on clever infighting. But I think Qawi's stamina would be the deciding factor. Toney liked to buy time and Qawi would not be selling it.

That's a good point. Qawi wouldn't let Toney pick his spots, unless he was willing to pick them really fast, and over and over again.
The variable might be if Toney could hurt Qawi, and I reckon he could, and with a variety of punches.

Qawi is too much for Toney. Toney is there to hit, especially when he hangs in the pocket looking to counter. That wouldn't work vs. Qawi. Qawi would be on him, smothering James' space and forcing exchanges where James would be picking his shots in between bombs from Dwight, with less space than he is used to having. Qawi UD in a tough, technical brawl like Jirov vs. Toney but with Toney losing.

Dwight and I think by a fair margin. He’s all wrong for James … Qawi isn’t going to waste time trying to figure Toney out, he’s going to smother and punch, punch and smother. And when James counters, Dwight isn’t so easy to hit cleanly, stays in the pocket and counters Toney’s counters.

By the end, James is on the losing end of a decision looking like a Waffle House order of hash browns — scattered, smothered, covered, diced, chunked and peppered.

The best 190 Qawi would outhustle James every time out. Toney wouldn't be able to out skill him either.

Neither guy is easy to hit clean. I just think at cruiserweight Quawi slowed down a bit, was not as effective as at 175. Holyfield hit him with a lot of clean shots.I think at 190 Toney has the edge. At 175 Quasi has the edge. I see neither fighter dominating. It would be a close insight fight. These were 2 of the best insight fighters of all time.

Qawi outworks Toney on the inside via a competitive but clear decision in a great fight.

I'm with the consensus on this one, and it looks unanimous.
Qawi would out work Toney, cruise to a clear decision victory.

Absolutely incredible matchup. @ 190 I do lean Toney. @175 I would take The Camden Buzzsaw
