Moorer was extremely hard hitting and fast at Lt.heavy.
If he remained there it would 've been interesting what
    he may have accomplished .
But,,,, his best opponent at the weight was a washed
up Leslie Stewart, who was on the downside of
    a slightly above average career.
Moorer never fought a real test at the weight.
Qawi on the other hand fought and beat a who's
who of ranked and above average Lt.heavy's
    during his era.
only losing to a future ATG in his prime.
I like Qawi at the weight, and how they matched
    up possibly easier than expected.

Huge Qawi fan but I do not discount the possibility of Moorer boxing Qawi, backing him off and making it a back and forth boxing vs. brawling affair. Moorer could really hit, especially at LHW and I think he could potentially do a Spinks here, hit Qawi and have enough grit and firepower to see through the storm.

Moorer at LHW is weird because he didn't fight anyone but the tape I've seen on him is really really good.

I like both of these fighters. Qawi is much more proven at the weight but I think Moorer presents the dimensions and skills to make this an excellent (and winnable) fight. Moorer wouldn't just fold and he had a tremendous pop in his punches.

This is a difficult fight for Quawi. Moorer has the skills, speed and power. But Quawi I think faced toughter opposition at 175. So I am gping with Quawi by close points win.

Qawi was definitely more proven at LHW and should be favored. I just don't like the physical dimensional matchup. Qawi was what 5'5 and going against a damn near 6'3 hard hitter who's power hand is the jab? I'd lean towards Moorer even though I've criticized his misses at LHW before. It's just hard for me to unravel the size difference. I absolutely see why one would select Qawi though

Yeah the size is a worrying factor for sure i just wasn't that impressed with Moorer against Stewart though who was his best opponent at the weight and Moorer struggled in that fight. Normally with a considerable size difference i would favour the bigger man, but Moorer just wasn't proven enough at that weight and Qawi for a good 2 or 3 year period was utterly awesome.

Also worth nothing Qawi beat Martin who was 6'1, Scott who was 6'0, so he has some good wins over fighters of 6'0 and above. I think the biggest question is if Moorer lands how does Qawi react to it ? Spinks had Qawi a bit worried early on when he cracked Qawi with a right hand in the 1st round. But again Spinks also fought a very disciplined/smart fight which i don't think Moorer is able to replicate.
