Qawi would give collins a serious but kicking,I know collins had a great chin and was never kod but I think qawi stops him late

No, don't rate Collins much to be honest, Eubank let him off the hook and he WASN'T a lightheavy. Qawi gets him out of there in six.

a really interesting tough question , two great brawlers , but qawi naturally heavier , i think if he managed to go SD with holyfield , he can win a decision here. so it is qawi by decision just because he is the stronger guy and collins' style is not the best way for him to fight qawi.

No, but he was pretty big for a sm.
Collins has the wrong style to take on Qawi and would get stopped later rather than earlier only because of his natural toughness.

Jeez dont you like Collins or something ?

    Qawi would steam roller Collins.

Collins had an excellent chin but he was put down by Eubank & Craig Cummings, he was also hurt against Reggie Johnson.

That said it makes no difference if Qawi won by KO because he would win either way imo.

the collins who fought cummings was head injured - brain injured.
probably also when he fought eubank - especially their second fight.

reggie johnson put james toney down also , is toney also not enough tough for you ?

A perennially tough as nails and proven heavier fighter versus Calz (who only fought 2 old men at LHW and quickly retired) and now versus Collins (another SMW).

Geesh, who's next, Qawi versus Micky Ward?

    Or, maybe Spinks versus Calzaghe?

    lol - :yikes

I know both are decent sized SMWs and it is not a huge stretch to put them at LHW but Dwight stomps them both. Collins would be more quickly rocked and then brutalized while Joe's track shoes would buy him more time until his flyswatters were ultimately batted aside and he was KO'd.

I hate Calzaghe, so that matchup sounds great to me! Spinks woulda sent sloppy Joe to the hospital.

Sigh, this is ESB. Joe would probably get 40% of the vote to get into the 12th in a life and death struggle in which Spinks barely edges the win.

Oh wait, this isn't the GF .. whew:good Never mind.:D

First of all thats just speculation, there is no evidence suggest he was feeling those effects in either of those fights. He apparently retired because he passed out in sparring by all accounts, but some people are also under the impression that could of been a smoke screen to avoid Calzaghe, what ever the case maybe its irrelevant, bottom line is you have no evidence to support such a claim so...

I never said Collins was not tough, im saying he has been hurt by 168lbs/ 160lbs fighters and i dont see him being able to beat Qawi because Qawi had a better defence, probably has the ability to take him out, better counter puncher, what Collins does well Qawi does better and he is bigger, so you do the maths.

Are you trying to argue he would beat Qawi? if not what are you arguing about because i never said Collins was not tough either.

i did not try to say collins would have beaten qawi , about this i don't know , and i tenderly tend to qawi to win , but i also tend to say qawi won't stop collins. not sure though.
