Dwight Qawi would clean house today!

    I disagree about Johnson. I think Qawi woulda beat up Glenn worse than Hopkins did. Johnson was totally tailor made for Qawi. Qawi was stronger than Johnson, had much faster hands, and much more power, and a much better defense. Glenn would get his ass kicked from pillar to post.

    To be very honest with you... I dont even think Glenn would beat Jerry Martin, and James Scott.

    The 80's crop of lightheavys were the best in the division's history.. and Qawi was the 2nd best of that crop behind only Spinks.

    I feel Johnson was green when he fought Hopkins, considering where is he now.

    He hasn't been stopped since, and I think he was stronger at LHW. There is no doubt your summation may be correct, but I go with The Road Warrior's durability to get him through.

    I also pick Qawi to beat 'Prime' Saad via points, in a much more competitive match. The last throw of the dice Saad has in the 10th round got me very excited when I initially viewed the fight, but the way Qawi came back must'vebeen very disheartening. Two years earlier Saad would've kept plugging away, but it was not to be.

    All I know is that Qawi woulda never lost to Clinton Woods.

    Glenn Johnson is quite overrated in an all time sense. Glenn would have been nothing more than a very fringe contender in the late 70's, early 80's.

    Even in the late 80's.. I see Charles Williams as being better than Johnson.

    Qawi would have battered Johnson in one sided fashion. The road warrior was simply not in the same league as the Camden Buzzsaw.

    I agree. All I'm saying is that I think Johnson would've lasted the distance.

    I'm not so sure about that.

    I'd give Adamek a decent shot against Qawi.

    Adamek is big and strong but Qawi is faster and less sloppy than Adamek.

    Adamek gets hit too much to beat Qawi, though I give him a good shot at lasting 12, he has fantastic punch resistance.

    Are you forgetting that Paul Briggs gave Adamek two tough fights? Adamek is slow, he's straight up, and he's not a huge puncher. Those 3 things make him tailor made for Qawi.

    This is a Qawi who when he was over hill pushed a Cruiserweight Holy to the depths of hell.

    Qawi would have eaten Adamek up.

    I'd take Qawi over any light-heavy since Spinks left the division. To strong, and too good an inside technician.
