Dwyer: Antonio Margarito beats Manny Pacquiao.

I enjoy his videos even if I don't always agree with him, he goes into a lot of detail to try and help you understand his thinking behind his pick.

 

Dwyer makes some good points from time to time but Pacquiao owns Margarito. Especially if Arum makes him pare down to 147 where he isn't healthy anymore. Margo won't lay too many hands on the Filipino icon.

Margo looked like **** against Shane because he got bagged doing a cardinal sin and his head was ****ed up AND the dude dropped 40 pounds in about a month. He was fried.

 

Considering the amount of shite posted by *******s on youtube I somehow doubt you were the only one he blocked.

He's only giving his opinion at the end of the day and the last thing anyone would want is people giving it the "OMG U GOT IT RONG!!!1!" after every prediction that doesn't come off.

 

You may be right. I think its kinda premature to start making claims as to what Margo could do because we don't know a) what the beating to mosely and year lay off have taken out of Margo and we don't know b) what percentage of Margo's extremely deadly power was previously due to loaded wraps. If it turns out however that not much of his power was due to the a history of loading his wraps and if it turns out that he still has a lot left then I can see him giving Pac a hard time. Your analogy of a more active clottey is a good but you have to follow it through. The margo that beat Cotto was a VERY VERY heavy handed fighter. Cotto obviously did some damage to pac as well and MArgo hits harder cotto does too. Moreover his strength was that he was able to throw when his opponent was throwing because he had such belief in his ability to take a clean shot that he would risk being hit cleaning inorder to hit his oppononet when they are most vulnerable. With with pac he could eat up the early blows and the start to put the pressure on once his legs started tiring. The first 3 rounds of this fight could be one sided but Margo would be trying to punch with Pac instead of wait till he was done. If he starts to land with his stamina and power this could make for a very intersting final half of a fight. Lets not all build pac up to be superman...he still is a little man fighting much bigger men. The bigger men that he`s fought so far don`t have the styles to make their size work for them. Margo`s style (with full welterweights) has always been to make his size work against his opponent. That in and of itself should be a warning sign.

 

Margarito needs an impressive performance before talk of Pac vs Margo. Arum is an idiot.

I'm afraid you may be right. He could have been loading for awhile. I've always loved Margarito and backed him huge against Cotto. But it may well have been a tarnished win. Pac eats him up.

Thats plays into Pacs strengh perfectly , he has great speed and good power. His movement is brilliant and so is his stamina!! He wont gas like Cotto did
anything Marg will slow 1st because he will be the one eating 5 punch combos in every round. Pac wil knock him out or maybe win a points decision but the punishment will take will be scary so he wud get pulled out

I think Margo gives him a tough fight. He isn't "done" as people claim. One 9th Round stoppage doesn't end a guy's career. Nonsense.
