Dwyer: Antonio Margarito beats Manny Pacquiao.

3 people that give problems to Pac at welterweight..P-dub, Money May, Margo...in that order.

Margo's got a great chance at beating Pac.

 

Dwyer knows his stuff and brings some good points, but I disagree with him on this one. I think that after many years of Margarito blocking punches with his face, it has eroded his ability to take them. Pacquiao is too fast and has too much movement for Margo to deal with. I think Pac takes him apart in a pointless fight.

 

marg is way to slow....pac would employ the same strategy he did against DLH and it would be a blowout.

 

It'd be like Oscar-Manny all over again. Margarito doesn't have the speed to catch Manny. Manny will bounce in and out of Margo's range. He will get swarmed and the ref will stop the fight or possibly KO him.

 

Make the fight happen

 

I think it could be more difficult than it seems. I don't think Margo was 100% vs Mosley, (no not just because of the wraps).

 

Pac will brutally beat the **** out of Margo...it'll be a highlight reel sort of fight.

 

Way too much speed for Margarito. Cotto lost because he was fighting going backwards, even though he was tagging him and landing 3 to 1. Pac has much better lateral movement and won't allow himself to get backed onto ropes or in a corner unless it's deliberate.

Pac will land a 1-2 and be out of there before Margo has time to wind up one of his slow ass haymakers.

 

Pacquiao via late stoppage. If margo comes to pac, i think pac will knock him out. Margo is wide open & i don't think he'll be able to pressure pac like his other opponents, he'll be getting hit too much.

 

I see Pac beating him, after a good fight. Margarito has a good jaw, but Shane has shown if its hit with to many clean shots it can be shattered.

 

Margarito is flat footed, slow, and has no skill. He would get shredded and KOed by Pacquiao.

Pretty much what I feel will end up happening.

 

I remember not too longer ago, after Pac beat DLH, he mentioned that he could probably fight Marg. Of course everyone laughed then and thought he was just trash talking. It's really funny how Pac continues to defy logic.

 

Pac should beat Margo, based on each of their recent high profile performances.
However Margo is being underestimated here with talk that it's an easy fight for Pac.
If people had mentioned the possibility of this fight after Margo KO'd Cotto, consensus would have been that Margo KILLS Pac. Funny how quickly perceptions change.

Margo is a big welter who doesn't stop coming forward and throws leather all night. This may play into Pac's hands early, but if Margo is able to shake off Pac's power shots as easily as he he did Cotto's, it could spell a tough night for Pac.
