    Dwyer is crazy on technical boxers, I like him way less than before because he is so biased nowadays and when he is wrong like he waswith degale he bullshits his way out of saying sorry for the bad prediction.
    I havent seen this kid fight but I hope dwyer is correct, allthough he probably is overrating him.

    Stylistically, he is extremely similar to him, but nobody will ever be "the new Pernell Whitaker" and I don't think Dwyer called him that either.

    yeah i was thinking the same thing about degale. he made him out to be the next boxing superstar already better than froch ect ect. i do rate gavin though and he is an excellent defensive fighter just not on pernells level obviously.

    He fights similar, but thats it at the moment. Ian Napa fights similar to Floyd too.

    Whitaker is one of Gavin's favourite fighters too. His style obviously had an influence on him.

    I think he's referring to his style, rather than quality. Dwyer wouldn't be the first person to have noticed the similarities either.
