Very good points here for both fighters. I just can't get over the fact that there is little to judge Paq's work at 147 other than what I believe to be a shop-worn Cotto(DLH and Clottey do not count for obvious reasons). What happens when he gets hit by someone who has the ability to fight back and is willing to accept pain to inflict damage? How does he react? Does he stop coming forward with impunity?

If Margo can take Paq's speed and punch(he has never been down in his career other than the Mosely fight) in the first few rounds and subsequently trap Paq against the ropes, Pac's chances of getting hurt will increase with every round, thereafter. I believe what happens in these rounds will dictate the fight and ultimately the winner.

It's amazing to me how some people think Paq is going to KO Margo early when two years ago, 135-pound light-hitting David Diaz lasted nine rounds with him taking a beating all the while never presenting a risk to Paq(Diaz has no KO power, at 135 for that matter, and therefore, presented little retalitory risk to Paq).

Kudos to Dwyer for putting his money where his mouth is unlike many of the kooks and no-it-alls here who will bet nothing yet brag about everything. Hopefully, this thread will remain civil and intelligent as opposed to the majority of the other threads.

This is the truth. Margo will not win this fight. It just cannot happen. And it won't for the reasons you specified.

Margo is going to pull a Clottey; he'll take his check and go home a happy loser.

On the other hand judging by the weigh in maybe everytime margarito moves his hands away from his face he gets cracked on the face. However having rewatched some of margaritos fights one thing is always certain about him. He can and will commit to punches whilst being punched himself. Pacquiao does not have the strength of mosley at 160 on fight night. But then again this is pacquiao, he might just go all whitaker on margarito in there making his look like a clumsly uncoordinated amateur. I just hope margarito's chin can handle pacquiaos speed and power and we might be looking at FOTY.
