This guy is so much better at breaking down fights than Kellerman or Atlas... Enjoyed his breakdown of N'Jikam-Lorenzo. Pretty spot on.
The only thing people need to know about his fight is that Rubio has 55 fights, he has not been knocked out in 7 years, and of his 49 wins....wait for....42 are by KO. Someone is getting KNOCKED the **** out friday night and there is a very real chance that Rubio can do it. Don't miss this fight it going to be a very good test for Lemieux.
Pavlik made Rubio quit on his stool though. It'll be bombs away on Friday night, can't wait. 50/50 really.
:thinkSeriously?? I know that Rubio always has a puncher's chance and that Lemieux' cheen's is unproven but still...
I think it's more than a puncher's chance. Watch some of his vids, he's technically pretty good. Great jab from the looks of it, that could disrupt David's style. Vastly experienced compared to David too. 42 KO's in 49 wins.. I still think Lemieux will come through it, but if Rubio lands a few big ones it could get hairy.
Yeah, I agree Rubio's quite good and that he's a bit underrated, but 50/50? I can't give him more than let's say 25/75.
his only flaw as I see it is that he doesnt really believe in intangibles or desire or rising to the occasion or sheer will. For Dwyer its all about "styles make fights" and for him, the man with the stylistic advantage all things being equal wins. Joe Frazier vs Ali in 1971......... disproves that theory to me. He is a good observer and knows the sport and does a very detailed breakdown. He doesnt let emotion cloud his judgment when deconstructing a scrap, which is good, except during the Vtali vs Haye back and forth Negotiation. He seemed to lose balance and I got the feeling he was hoping some one would smash the Klits before they left and Vlad probably the easier target, he seemed none too fond of seeing Wlad weasel out, then have Vitali who is the harder target smash Haye.
LOL, ya I was kinda conveniently ignoring that fact. But I've seen several of his fights and he's a very durrable guy. He's a very awkward fighter but he's much more slick than he appears. If you've never seen him before you'll be suprised with what type of fighter he is. He definitely isn't your typical Mexican journeyman.
