Whatever you say about the dude, Dwyer's opinions are always interesting.

Dwyer is right that Haye is an unusual heavyweight. Now is Haye unusual in a brilliant way, like the young Ali, or unusual in a bad way?

He has no basis for this. It is simply projection and wishfull thinking. Like most Americans he cannot stand the Klitschko's and would be far more comfortable, even socially acceptable in his World view for a Black man to be top heavyweight. Since no Americans are realistically in the picture, Haye will have to do for him.

Why cant he be seen as a boxing fan with an opinion not based on creed or colour... your actually saying more about your own views in this statement than dwyers. we can all Assume what we want but just because he is black doesn't automatically mean he wants a black man to be heavyweight champ, I am sure like all boxing fans he would want the best and most entertaining fighter to be top regardless of background.

Now, about the topic at hand. Haye has the potential to reach that status if he KOs Wlad and back up his trash talking. Until then, he's just a contender. If he could beat both Klitschko's, he'd be a huge superstar.

 

this thread deserves to be bumped. it shows how good haye was at conning boxing fans. even intelligent boxing fans like you. you bought into the haye hype. you became emotionally invested over the months.

i just dont understand how you think wladimir is boring, yet you are a huge mayweather fan. there seems to to be a double standard there. you bash wlad because he is so dominant and boring. you praise mayweather for the same.
