Dwyer stretches quite a bit on some fighters. Hopkins would probably make Wlad look awful in a losing effort that goes the distance. Tarver would have no chance at all against either guy.
Adamek has fought and beaten a number of heavyweights including Arreola over the last couple of years so the fight with Vitali makes sense. Adamek, unlike Hopkins or Tarver has repeatedly proven his worth at heavyweight. Wlad is probably fighting Arreola to get back into the U.S. television marketplace and Arreola ia a true heavyweight fighter at 6foot 4 inches and over 230lbs.
Arreola is a HW, Tarver & Hopkins aren't. Let's start there shall we................. Adamek has proven himself against a few decent Heavys before he landed a fight with either Klitschko, Tarver & Hopkins haven't.
While I agree with you, Bernard is on record saying he wouldn't fight Floyd. Albeit, this was several years ago when he was considering fighting Adamek.
I think Dwyer knows his boxing... to a large extent... but Hopkins/Tarver vs Wlad? Come on.... nah.... I always thought Tarver had very good chances against crude Green..(and bet heavily on it) .. but from Green to Wlad is a gulf of size and ability.
Adamek has beaten a bunch of garbage fighters at HW. Let's not forget that he was completely outboxed by a green Dawson. Hell, he was outboxed by Cunningham. He's not a better boxer than either Tarver or Hopkins. Both of those guys have the frame to carry 200+ lbs. In the video, Dwyer recommends Hopkins fighting Tarver at CW. If he can win that fight, then there's no reason to believe he couldn't effectively fight at HW. If Hopkins can effectively fight at HW, would you ever pick Adamek to beat him? Absolutely not. Tarver has already fought at HW and weighed in over 220lbs. Again, I don't think either Hopkins or Tarver can beat Wlad. However, they do have the style and talent to beat him. It's all a matter of whether or not the size difference is too much(I think it is). Despite this though, I think either guy against Wlad would at least be an intriguing fight. I don't see how either could do worse than the recent guys Wlad has been fighting. Who do you think more Americans would be more interested in seeing Wlad fight, Aereola or a Bernard Hopkins fresh off a win against Tarver at CW?
You have turned into quite an annoying Klit hugger to be honest with 90% of your post history being about how Klitschkos would destroy anyone. I can't even say I disagree with you on this one but one won't see you write about anything else than Klitschko KFTO random fighter. You may consider broadening your horizon on boxing.
I think in the age of Pacquiao, we can all throw out this argument that you're putting forth. Had anyone made a thread in 2007 or even 2008 about Pacquiao beating the likes of Cotto or Margo at 150, they would've gotten laughed at. In fact, that is what happened to people who proposed that fight. The only decent HW that Adamek has beat is Aerola, and even that was a close fight. I have little doubt that Tarver can beat the likes of Kevin McBride, Vinnie Maldanado, and Andrew Golota. Hopkins probably could as well. As far as Aereola, I don't care if he's a HW. He's out of shape and really isn't all that skilled. He has zero shot against Wlad. His skill level is nowhere near that of Wlad's.
