I'm not sure about tarver, but I disagree with you about Hopkins having the style to beat Wlad. Hopkins is a master boxer, and I know he can fight inside and out, but the last few times he fought on the inside he looked a little out of his comfort zone. Against Roy Jones, he was mostly ineffective, and against Pascal he had success, but was caught with some big shots on the way in. And it's not that I think Wlad will necessarily catch him on the way in, it's just that his size will prevent Hopkins from pushing him back, and it will likely prevent Hopkins from getting his shots off in the inside. And if Hopkins decides to fight Wlad like he fought Pascal, I think it would fall into Wlad's hands because Wlad will fight just as tenatively as Hopkins, but he'll use his size to his advantage and Hopkins won't be able to reach him. If Wlad was just some big, ordinary fighter, then perhaps Hopkins would win, but Wlad has great technical skills and is very strong. I don't see this being a winnable fight, and could very well be a shutout or a late KO that Hopkins at 46, doesn't need on his resume.
Silly me, I thought 85-90% KO ratio was a good thing  Yes, Wlad or Vitali knocks the **** outta Hopkins or Tarver. I don't think that's a stretch by any means. Wlad didn't KO Haye but that doesn't erase the fact that he KO's just about everybody he fights. Vitali stops nearly everyone too, his KO ratio is higher than Wlad's.
**** off then douche bag. Nobdoy's making you read my posts...................... :rofl ****in' imbecile. For the record yes, I think it's a safer bet that the Klitschkos KO their opponents rather than settle for decisions. The KO ratios speak for themselves.:deal
Let me reiterate, no way would I pick Hopkins to win this fight. However, I wouldn't pick Aerola or Chisora to beat Wlad either and those are guys that Wlad has talked about fighting. The fact of the matter is, the Klits are much better than every other HW. We can sit back and watch them jab a bunch of overmatched HWs to death, or we can think outside the box here.
Hopkins does not beat Wladimir Klitschko but I don't think its silly to say he couldn't be as competitive as Wladimir recent opponents.
Maybe after they fight for a vacant cruiserweight title they should fight again for the vacant WBA regular belt.
You made some decent points & I respect you opinion but I juts think the size, weight & ability is too much when combined with natural HW power. If Tarver or Hopkins were fighting John Ruiz I'd agree, they'd have a serious chance.
The thread title is horribly misleading. Nowhere in the video does Dwyer say that either can beat video. He says that they have the style to trouble him and that they could be at least as competitive as Haye.
It's true there are few marque names on their resumés but they've both proven themselves vs. short, power punching pressure fighters & tall, rangey boxers. Americans, Brits, Euros, you name it. They can only fight who's available. Even when they do allow the comp. to survive the entire fight they usually win practically every round as was the case against Briggs, Ibragimov, Johnson, etc.
