Wlad would beat both on the same night, it's irrefutable (I genuinely believe that). This guy's comments are utterly insane
That doesn't mean he can judge himself from an objective point of view though. The guy knows boxing inside out, but if the sport has shown us one thing it's that even the great fighters have little clue when it comes to their own limitations. It's probably what makes them great, but it's also what leads guys like RJJ and Holyfield to go on so far past their prime when they have little or no chance left to be the top guy in their division. You aren't know for being a big Klitschko fan lol but I'm sure you wouldn't put money on Holyfield beating Wlad or Vitali at this stage. He probably would though :-(
wasn´t Tarver going to get knocked out by Green according to Dwyer just one day ago or two now he should fight a Klit?
In my personal opinion about this fella and with all due respect, is that he's clearly showing out three things transfering from his subconscious mind to his polite, calm speaking conscious self and to the others: 1 He's a Bernard Hopkins fan and he has huge appreciation for Antonio Tarver's accomplisments such as last night's; 2 He deslikes Wladimir Klitschko and maybe is hugely disappointed with David Haye; 3 He's trying to show off as a commentator on the Web with something new and make people think about it rather than talking sense in itself. Now, let me tell you why he's a Hopkins fan like I am. He talks about greater accomplishments to Bernard's resumé, including avoiding once again danger man Chad Dawson ( cause he beat Tarver and Adamek, even tho he lost to JPascal), including winning another Division title fighting with more to gain than to risk... So he's speaking from the heart and not from his non partial mind...However, he doesn't fear that Tarver may beat Hopkins which also shows that he wouldn't mind Tarver getting his revenge even cause he said Tarver was not well in their LHW fight. Then, he speaks tons about Wladimir's flaws in his inside game and how these old timers - 40 plus veterans could compete with by working inside against him... Happens that that winner of a cruiserweight fight between Hopkins and Tarver could have not the mobility and the looseness to perform at HW, not to mention that it's highly not probable that either of them could get inside Wladimir's enormous reach advantage and wingspan... Because let's face it, Tarver and Hopkins don't have the physical means to reach that goal which is to do what a bigger, younger man in David Haye couldn't do at this stage of their careers! So the daydreaming just proves to me that this Gent wants to show off with new bright ideas and that he doesn't realize that Pavlik at 170 pounds is not Klitschko at 240 plus pounds and that footwork and small phone boot feints and movement doesn't keep one from Wladimir's straight punches. Hopkins should fight Dawson no matter how r the expected PPV numbers and I believe he has a greater chance there. Hopkins adds nothing else to his legacy by fighting Tarver at CW and for the IBO CW title when he's already the Ring and WBC LHW Champion. A real HW like Povetkin and his inside game have much more of a chance to deal with Wladimir "jab and grab" stance and technique rather than Tarver's and Hopkins' which and in my opinion would be the same as Eddie Chambers was, too small.
I love Hopkins but Wlad would kill him. Tarver looks good at cruiser and I don't recommend him fighting a klitschko either.
Both Tarver and Hopkins would be stopped by both Klitschkos and wouldn't be remotely competitive against either.
I think Dwyer's right: BHop and Tarver would present problems to Wlad that he has never faced before. Just look at how these two Americans are schooling some of the top fighters in their divisions. BHop has only lost to guys with tremendous handspeed (Jones, Taylor, Calzaghe), and Wlad doesn't have that. Wlad is a robot, and BHop always humiliates robots. A fight between BHop and Wlad would probably be reminiscent of BHop's easy wins over Tarver, Pavlik and Trinidad. Tarver has the reach and power to land and do serious damage to Wlad, and is elusive enough to avoid Wlad's jab.
