His comments AFTER the fight I think this board is invaluable. Many sensed it was close going into the 12th. The outcome will be debated by fans and media. Frankly, in the long run, both guys won. I do believe DeGale is ready for the very best. I believe he gained fans by this performance. @reign - I know now is not the best time to say this, but Ward (and perhaps Glen Johnson) is the only supermiddle that I think might beat DeGale. He looked great in this fight. The skill level is obvious. The biggest criticism is a lack of volume against a mover. Apart from Andre Dirrell, I don't see anyone else in the division who can move like Groves for 12. After fights like this, you can imagine the "Dwyer You Suck" responses I'll get. I certainly plan on making a post fight video. I think it is the old story of accurate counter punching v. volume (e.g., Floyd v. Oscar, Mora v. Mosley, Mora v. Vera). Many - on this board and in the postfight coverage - believe that DeGale gave away the early rounds. I think he landed some clean counters. He threw less, but was more effective. But many others saw him being outworked. I think it cost him the fight. I'm not a mindreader. But I do believe that technicians are content to set up flush punches. They don't think in terms of volume. I think that cost DeGale the fight. As it was, I thought he won it. If I'm DeGale, I move on and fight Kessler, Arthur Abraham, even Carl Froch should he lose to Glen Johnson. I wouldn't fight Groves again until I'm a world champion. They drew 19,000 tonight. I believe it would be a huge fight. I wouldn't worry about the critics. I've found that fans appreciate talent. (Floyd). If anything, he might be even more desireable as an opponent since he has now lost.
I'm white and had it by a few pts to DeGale. Dwyer will call it as he sees it, to us the race card says more about you.

atsch:yep even AA, whos havin a hard time at the moment, would probably get a harder time that these guys would think. Id take him o0ver domestic level guys like groves and degale easily!
Dwyer is an overrated **** when it comes to analysis. Some of the **** he comes out with is unbelievable then people make out because Dwyer said it, it means something.
