Before the first "So what? Why does anybody talk about this guy?" comment, it's not my fault he's a well-known personality to hardcore fans. This same guy who picked RJJ against Calzaghe, thinks Tim Bradley beat Pacquiao by outboxing him with his jab and thinks Tarver or Hopkins or Holyfield might beat a Klitschko also thinks Wlad "couldn't get inside on Thompson" and Thompson "can neutralize two-thirds of Wladimir's arsenal" has a huge following. It's amazing. He isn't saying only because of the value either. He says he considers this fight "a tossup". It's amazingly hilarious. And of course he's still droning on about Vitali being the best heavyweight in the world. He gets more mental every time I see him I swear.

Don't watch much of him now but when I did I often wondered against his logic. He seems to get too technical, focusing on certain things which often don't really make much of a difference.

I'd have to review some tapes, but I think that's a 50/50 fight.

If Wlad works his body early, he'll KO him faster than last time.

Wlad being the highest weight in his career though may indicate he's not taking this guy seriously.

Based on past performance, Wlad should end things earlier than before, but if he had a hard time getting up for this guy, anything can happen.

Vnaes def. has a chance. . . But Dwyer is making it out like Vanes is some kind of master boxer/puncher. . . And he's sure of him beating Lara.

Ouma beat Vanes by rushing him, smothering him, and using his strength and size.

Lara does not fight this way. He's more of a cute boxer. While I was not impressed with Vane's body attack against Ouma, which he should have began early, and didn't seem like he was in position to throw, I think he'll have more succes with Lara.

Vanes has the reach advantage, has fast hands, and has decent power. He's a little tricky too. If he establishes a body attack early, which he very well could based on Lara's last performance, where he stood in one place for too long, he could win this fight.

Like I said, I have to review some more tapes to come up with a proper analysis, and while the last time I saw Vanes (on the Cotto vs Foreman undercard) I wasn't exactly impressed, this could potentially be an upset.

I'll get back to you on this one though. I have to watch fights on both fighters. I'll do it this weekend. Hit me up if you need some more advanced bodyweight techniques.

True. . . As the cliche goes: "styles make fights." Truer words have never been spoken. . . But I just think Vanes is far too ordinary in every aspect, including technical ability. . .

Definitely man. . I appreciate it!

Honestly, I haven't seen too much of Vanes, but yesterday when I was looking some things up on him, I saw highlights of him sparring Chavez Jr.

He showed a lot of killer instinct, and great combination punching.

He beat the **** outta Chavez. I know it's just sparring, but damn, he laid an ass whuppin on that kid.

Lara is much different of course, but to be honest, Lara doesn't impress to the extent he does the rest of the forum. Maybe he had an off night against Hernandez, but I saw some vulnerabilities that would cost him.

Thompson will knock Wlad out inside 6. Wlad will pay the price for taking this fight lightly.

    Thompson TKO3.
