Richard Dwyer of Gamblers Advisory is telling people to bet on the underdog Adrien Broner. His logic is that Mikey Garcia is basically another John Molina, whom Broner easily figured out and defeated. He says that it takes an unorthodox style to beat Broner, and Mikey is just your typical sound fighter. It sounds pretty rational to me. The bet is on! What do you think? This content is protected
The value is on Broner which is why I put some of my precious vcash on him. However that doesn't mean I think he's going to win. Broner has a good chance at the upset here but I think Mikey Garcia is just good enough that he can exploit Broners weaknesses despite the size difference.
After doing some research I'm picking Adrien Broner as well. AB has fought better opposition, has the size, and wants to win more than Garcia. I agree with Garcia not having a style that can trouble Broner.
Find one punch Molina landed in the Broner fight, much less even threw! That whole fight looked like the 3rd round - on of the Mosley/Floyd fight, no activity from Molina. Garcia will throw and in combinations. He will move, feint, think. He wont be a punching bag. Now, will it be tough? Absolutely! Broner could pull off the win. He's talented, fast, and has good power. Broner fights in spurts though. Garcia has more activity the whole 3 minutes. Excited about this one.
Based on sheer talent Garcia takes it, however.... based off intangibles and unknowables like how well does Mikey take a punch at 140, and he will be punched, will his power carry up to 140, will Broner's size, power, speed and accuracy negate all of Mikey's strengths. Who'll get off first, who'll counter the other better, if Broner does, will that inhibit Garcia from throwing as much, if Mikey's power doesn't carry up, does AB walk him down like he did DeMarco, all that ****, then Broner starts looking like a worthwhile bet.
The activity of Molina consisted of leaning in and getting upper-cutted only to lean in again a few seconds later..
Broner has shown a pitiful Chin and he has been carefully matched in his last several fights. I wouldn't put money on a fighter like that.
Broner has a history of chopping up 135 pounder , but basing his win of the Molina fight is pure comedy. Look at Molina against Machine and look at him against The Can Man. Something seriously was off kilter there
