Levels that's the word that keeps coming in my mind, Mikey is going to outclass him, definitely pumped for this fight
Mikey has got so much versatility. Broner is a one trick pony. As soon as mikey times him I think he starts to beat him up badly
I see it as a competitive fight. Garcia is the better fighter IMO but he's unproven at 140 and he's only fought at 135 once albeit a very impressive performance. The only other time he's fought above 130 is against Elio Rojas but Rojas is a blown up feather/super-feather and he'd only fought above 130 twice himself. My gut feeling when the fight was announced was Garcia via stoppage, but I can't feel any degree of confidence about making that pick because there's a question mark hanging over his punch resistance at this weight. He didn't really get a chance to prove his whiskers at 135 either because IIRC Zlaticanin didn't catch him with anything significant. Broner's the bigger man but Garcia is the one who actually looked really drained yesterday. He looked sallow and ill. I am a believer in Garcia's power, technical ability and accuracy though and I do think he's capable of stopping Broner. I think Broner will be surprised by how hard he hits. But Broner has fast hands and he can punch a bit too so you never know.
His bigger and stronger, he might be able to walk through Garcia, we will have to wait and see. I agree (Garcia)he's a level above skill set low tech, but Broners a big ass 140 and tough. He could just be too big for Garcia !
Broner has never beaten anyone as good as Garcia and has arguably lost to fighters much worse (like Ponce De Leon, Quintero, and Granados). Broner has also struggled against faded fighters / journeymen (Paulie M and Taylor, etc). I won't hold his losses against him because his two losses were to good fighters. Garcia should beat him in maybe a slightly more competitive fight than I think but Garcia at -210 has all the value IMO. If Broner knocks Garcia out, I'll tip my hat to him. I just don't see it happening.
I've heard at least 3 or 4 people these last couple of days say that Broner nearly got Maidana out of there in the 11th and 12th rounds. Andre Rozier was one of them. I didn't remember it like that. I just watched those 2 rounds now and at no point was Maidana badly hurt or in any trouble. Broner cracked him with a good shot which made him back off but he was fine. So he drops Broner x 2 and has his legs dancing to 2 different genres of music at the same time and Broner was never close to being stopped but he was? OK lol
I think Broner might be able to last the distance. He has shown reliable whiskers. I wouldn't mess with the props, just take Garcia to win at -210 and not worry about the exact outcome; just my opinion.
I think mikey has the skill to compensate the weight advantage. Robert Garcia isn't stupid, he's been up close with broner before with the maidana fight. if he thought mikey couldn't handle it I'm sure this fight wouldn't be made. He says mikey is always sparing bigger guys and handling them well. People think mikey is just a good fundamental boxer who is neat and tidy, does nothing special. But I see a beautifully balanced boxer with incredible timing and positioning, who has dynamite in his hands. Broner will have to show something I haven't seen in him do before to win this fight.
