Round 1

Harper runs out and fires a pair of shots over the back of Tubbs, who dives low to clinch around the waist. Wild wooly exchanges, Harper punching while Tubbs tries tying up. Harper sends himself reeling into the ropes slapping a hook across the back of Tubbs, who is sent flying into the perpendicular set. Harper is doing his best to work while his hands are free. Tubbs collapses to his knees throwing his arms around Harper's. Gets a stern earful from the ref. Vicious right hand gorilla fist by Harper clubs Tubbs onto the mat by the ropes. He beats the count but is hammered down again immediately. Tubbs is already stretching his arms out to hold Harper and eats a couple of jabs. They wrestle a bit and Tubbs is down again, butt tangled in the bottom two ropes. Harper makes Tubbs duck by jabbing and cuffs him on the crown with a light left hook. Tubbs sits down, and the ref waves it.

KO1!!

 

Cowboy Calvin plays the crowd out...with his dorky Darius Rucker gone outlaw country black troubadour schtick. Let's hope he doesn't butcher any more of his idol Waylon Jennings' tunes... or Steppenwolf's.
