2-Matsunaga looking to dictate the pace and lands a nice left hand, and another, the Thai trying to counter and pick his spots, big body shot from Matsunaga, another body shot. The Thai lands and seemingly catched Matsunaga off balance. The Thai brings pressure and Matsunaga is forced to up the pace and he rocks the Thai on the bell. No real combinations from either fighter until late on, when Matsunaga began to open up
3-Matsunaga pressing and the Thai is backing up, good body shot from Matsunaga, nice left hand from Matsunaga, and an even better one! Matsunaga now looks on the verge of stepping up his pace again and the Thai looks clueless, 1-2 Matsunaga. The Thai ios trapped and Matsunaga going all out for the finish! Huge combination and the Thai sees it off, HUGE left hand from Matsunaga, he now has another big attack with the Thai trying to fight back, the visit just puts up his guard, Matsunaga won't stop...and the referee steps in to finally save the visitor
The first of the really notable bouts Junto Nakatani (13-0, 10) Vs Jeronil Borres (8-3-1, 5) Nakatani is so damn fun to watch! This should be thrilling action!
1-Nakatani on the front foot early but Borres begins to come forward before anything of note is landed. Borres looking like a real live wire in there against the baby faced Nakatani, who looks like he's a very wirey kid, nice left hand from Nakatani to the body seemed to hurt Borres, and another sends the Filipino down...for the count! DAMN! Borres had gone the distance with Ricahrd Claveras and been really unlucky against Joo Hyun Jung in Korea...to be taken out inside a round by Nakatani is VERY impressive!
Next - Kai Chiba (7-0, 6) Vs Brian Lobetania (12-4-3, 10) Could be a bit of a shoot out this one, Chiba impressed me last time out, stopping Ryo Matsubara in 5 rounds, and I'm expecting another impressive performance here from the aggressive Japanese warrior
1- Lobetania looking to bring the pressure early on, Chiba coping with it and gets a nice combination off, a big right from Chiba whizzes past the head of Lobetania, Lobetania tagged Chiba who seemed to stagger backwards, Lobetania through some WILD right hand hayemakers that end up around his knee, Chiba lands a big right and forces Lobetania into the corner. A big head clash sees both rubbing their heads but no cut, Lobetania caught with a straight right hand, Chiba unloading and we have that expected fire fight! Lobetania is hurt but he's firing off! Great end to the round!
2-Lobetania wild again. Huge head clash and Chiba looks pissed. Lobetania eating hard leather but still swinging hayemakers, Chiba looks determined to KO Lobetania and lands a monster counter uppercutt - Lobetania got cheeen! Another uppercut as Chiba starts to predict the wildness of the Filipino. He's got the uppercutt to land at willwhen Lobetania throrws a "face down, and swing" right over-hand. There's a chance Lobetania lans that rigth hand at some point, but my god is he ever goingto have to take some damage to do so. Chiba looking very good
3-Lobetania coming in and launching right hands whilst Chiba tries to tie him up, huge body shot from Chiba, Lobetania walking forward and trying to just land hayemakers, Chiba showing his skills and lands a nice body shot, Lobetania misses with a right hand and takes a series of shots, huge body shot from Chiba. Chiba rocked! Chiba all over the place and Lobetania throws him down with seconds of the round left! One of those hayemakers landed and there is tension in he Korakune Hall as Chiba's team get to work on waking him up. One of the right hands landed, he dropped his guard then another landed. A break through for Lobetania!
4-Chiba still looks to be hurt and is down after just a few seconds of the round...and the referee waves it off! TKO4 Brian Lobetania! A notable upset!
1-Thai isnt here to lose and is forcing Bellamy backwards, Charlie looks REALLY old, a little podgy and has no sharpness at all! A left hook from the Thai and the Thai is going for the kill in the final seconds...ref gave a close look before Bellamy landed a bomb!
Bellamy took a beating in that first round at the very end with his back against the ropes, was dangerously close to getting stopped. Interested in seeing how he comes back here
