I remember all the **** talk going on back and fourth between Sylvia and Le Banner when Sylvia was champ and, long after he lost the title. Seemed like Le Banner was a fan of MMA and hated Sylvia like most of the fan's did.

Overeem is defending the title that Fedor once held.

You don't see many people mention the fact that Overeem is the Lineal Heavyweight Champion.

He may not have done **** all at heavyweight and beat the man who beat the man in a **** fight, but whether people like it or not Overeem is the MMA Heavyweight Champion of the World.

No one liked it when Rahman was champion but they had to deal with it.

 

It was mostly JLB slagging off Sylvia from what I remember.

 

This used to be an excellent sub forum.. ****ing tragic to see what its turned into.....

 

What, it was great when you were telling everyone how the UFC sucked and was on the decline, and all the PRIDE guys that you are in love with would come in and instantly dominate?

And then it turned out that they were all on roids and they came over, looked soft and depleted and got their asses kicked, including PRIDE legends getting choked out by TUF guys.

In short, nobody is talking about this Fedor card because both this card and Fedor himself are completely irrelevant. And so is PRIDE, and so are you and your opinions about MMA. :good

That clown hasn't realised yet he's on /ignore. Pricks only discovered this sub forum 2 days ago and has only been watching MMA for the last few hours yet he has an opinion on everything.

I just enjoy harrassing scurla, because he's been following the sport for so long, knows so much (apparently) yet is so hopelessly biased that he often says very stupid things, and won't back them up.

In short, it amuses me how butthurt he is that in his mind, the sport is past its best days and is on the decline. Because now it's a mainstream sport and not a completely irrelevant, socially unacceptable, corruption-and-drug-ridden freakshow. All he has left are his memories, his pathetic fanboy tattoo and his semen-encrusted tapes of old PRIDE shows, which recede further into history with each passing day.

In short, the butthurt amuses me. But I wouldn't want him to stop posting, and in fact I want him to actually talk about the sport, instead of just bitching about the UFC and telling everyone how he's the source of all MMA wisdom. :good

You've told me a bunch of times that I'm on ignore. I don't care, I'll make fun of your posts anyway. Sack up and engage with me and defend your stances instead of putting me on ignore like a *****, and I'd respond to your proclamations with more respect. :good

Also having a trace of a sense of humour instead of the constant arrogance and insufferable self-righteousness would help.

Well, I'm more than willing to:

1) Back my arguments up

2) Admit the limitations of my knowledge

3) Be evenhanded, to the extent that I haven't literally branded myself a UFC fanboy.

Guess what? I don't care. I've fought guys who were tougher than you before, and who hated me worse than you do. And I lost, even got concussed a couple of times, who gives a ****? Getting punched over and losing a fistfight is not exactly the end of the world. You could beat the **** out of me for three rounds and then choke me out like Forrest did to Shogun, big deal.
