    could be....

its going to break down to dzinuriks boxing ability vs kirklands pressure

for what we have seen.... kriland can keep his pressure up over 10-12

im not 100% sure but i have heard that dzinurik has been down before & i doubt he is slick enough to keep off kirkland.... not that kirkland is an amazing boxer but that would take alot of skill kirks pressure is intesnse

    edit:
and we all know kirk has a chin as well....

its either sergie's ud or kirklands ko

    double Edit:

and we also know... dzinrurik could barely fend off joel julio ... so i dunno

I hope this fight happens. If James is also on the May 2nd undercard that will be awesome. I know Dzinziruk has the better skills but can he hold up against James' relentless aggression? Sure he can counter him but James is one serious beast of a fighter. I say James walks him down to a TKO. I've been on Kirkland's bandwagon for quite awhile now and I ain't jumping off. I said he would destroy Angulo over a year ago and still believe it. Heart and will like he has can counter-act skill. He's improving his own boxing skills as well. I don't wanna see him fight The Punisher anytime soon though! lol Maybe a few years down the road. He's gotta chance to beat anyone else at 154 though. Martinez is a bit overrated and does not have the power to makes James even blink! lol

I'm completely with you on this. Everyone's been telling me James is over-hyped for a year or more now but he keeps winning and will continue as long as he don't face Paul! lol :smoke

I dont think this fight is a good idea. both fighters are realli good and if they fight others and get a bit more recognition this fight can be way bigger than it is now. think of the £££

From what I saw of the fight with Julio he put some pressure on the guy...Julio ran like a girl vs Kirkland..To me Dzinurik like you say isnt slick enough, he fights forwards and backwards with little side to side movement and in the 18 rounds that I seen of him I saw maybe one to two spins...If you dont make Kirkland reset he will ran you over.

James just walked through Julio's shots and I don't think Dzinzurik has the power or slick enough countering to hold James off.

Damn, this will be a great fight but I'd like Kirkland's chances alot more in another 8-12 months. Props to both guys on a tough fight if it goes through....Any word on where it'll take place?

Good point. Going in straight lines against Kirkland is deadly. Moving away like that just gives him more momentum to hit his opponents. You gotta know how to move to the side, turn him and clinch, and still gotta worry your stamina last 12 rounds because he goes through war in training.

Lefty vs. lefty would favor Kirkland's power, but I've got my doubts that with his current footwork, he'd ever even get close to Martinez.

I agree...Gotta let the hype for the fight reach to a maximum and then make it happen.

That would be another good match up. Given Martinez is quick he will present Kirkland with some problems, but my only thing about Martinez is that he keeps his hands rather low and that spells danger when facing a guy like Kirkland.

Kirkland would beat dzinziruk, he wont cope with the pressure very well, I've seen quite a few dzin fights now and I just see Kirkland powering him out of there. Dzin will look good for 2 or 3 rounds and eventually will run out of ideas. Sergio Martinez must be one of the most overated fighters right now, Im not a fan of his style at all. Someone will tag him real good one day and wake him up, he is far too Calzaghe like for my liking. Lets see what he does when someone really brings it to him.

i feel dzin has not been in top form lately, but im pretty sure that his best form would show up in this big fight
