According to the site that has boxing scenery, Dzinziruk was contacted by Goosen to come over to the states to fight PTP but turned him down. It's being reported that Dzinziruk wants an unreasonable sum of money. This comes after recently calling out PTP.

LOL. And weren't some people saying that Williams was ducking this guy or something like that?

Sturm vs. Arbraham, take two...Universum is just making a fool of themselves...calling their fighters the best in the division whose would make easy work of their opponents but always back up due to monetary issues...

Seems strange that he would go out of his way to call for a Williams fight then turn it down.

German based champs can earn a heck of a lot of money defending their titles, so maybe the offer really wasnt substantial. williams is interim champ so the fight will have to happen you would think...

Ahh....What the OP is saying could just as easily be interpreted: "Dzinziruk wanted to fight PW. He even offered to go to the US. However, PWs team offered him a ridiculous deal - or in other words - does NOT want any part of Dzinsiruk!"

That is just as good an explanation of what has happened - which basically is that PW team does not want to pay up.

There needs to be a rule that when you call someone out you have to be desperate enough to give up a big share of the purse to the guy you are calling out.

But then again, Paul Williams team has a history of hogging a huge amount of the purse believing their guy is a huge draw.

That's just the 1st offer and we need the details. SD is the champ so he wants to be compensated properly if coming here. It may take place in his country for more $$$$$

If not, Vernon should ablige if the cash is right.

If you cared about who is the best in the division, you wouldn't say that.

I dont care a fig for Goosen and his statements. Dzindziruk is be ready to make big sacrifices to showcase his skills over there in the states in a fight against Williams.
The classy Ukranian fights for little money on the undercard of far lesser talented main fighters on small fight cards in Germany. Most of his fights havent been broadcast by German tv.Most fight fans in Germany have never heard his name.
His promoter isnt really interested in putting him into the lime light.
Unreasonable amount of money,eh! Dzindziruk has fought for peanuts against dangerous opponents for his entire career. He was either offered a laughable small amount of money or he has never received an offer from Williams ' camp.
I bet my house that he wouldnt hesitate a single second to pack him luggage and rush to the airport to take the next flight over the pond to meet Williams on American soil.He has been dying in the dark on small fight cards in Germany.
Bah! Williams' management has probably offered him so little money that Dzindziruk had to turn that offer down so that consequently Williams wont have to square off against the classy top fighter from the Ukraine.

I don't think we should take this statement as fact. Dzinziruk is not the type that ducks and he's fought dangerous opponents for little money before. He's wanted to fight a big American name since forever! I'm waiting to hear his side of the story. I have a feeling it won't be less believable. I don't think you can compare Dzinziruk to Sturm...different kettle of fish.

I have a feeling HBO flat don't care about Dzinziruk, there is forrest and a couple of others that are american that they can match williams with at 154

"I'm a little more advanced than Paul Williams at this stage of the game. I think I've earned the right to have a super fight. Me fighting Paul Williams is not a super fight, it's a fight. Therefore, I'm not interested."

Then why go for the WBO interim title?
