Dzinziruk turns down a Paul Williams fight

Dzinziruk had said that he would fight Williams and in the united states even on a boxing website.

 

Maybe the dumbest think that I have read in some time, but seeing who wrote it its no shock....

I disagree. Once again, the mando isn't due until next Nov. What happens if Williams gets a better offer while he's waiting on Dzinziruk?

And Paul brings what? You're making it seem like he's a big money draw or something. Dzinziruk is the champion. Williams just won the interim belt for the title Dzinziruk already holds.

Right, Pavlik was the middleweight champion of the world and Goosen offered him as Dan Rafael put it "peanuts" to fight Williams. If he lowballed Pavlik, or tried to at least, why wouldn't he do the same to Dzinziruk? This is more than likely Goosen's/Team Williams' way of trying to hype Williams as the most feared fighter in Boxing and you cats are eating that **** right up.

It was a call mfrom Germany from one of Dzindziruk's people telling me the rumors out there on the 'Net about them asking for too much money for the Williams fight are untrue and that, in fact, they want the fight and have not yet even discussed the money with Williams promoter Dan Goossen.

I know the word most be spread around by now, but Dzinziruk camp has denied these allegations and they are looking forward to the negotiations which I haven't even began.

We all know that pro boxing is a very dangerous sport. Every pro fighter out there deserves every penny of his paycheck. 99,99% of the fighters in the paid ranked tend to take high risks for their health for little reward.There may be a handful of pro fighters on this little planet who can be called overpaid,but damn that guy must get his head tested for his totally ludicrious statement.

pay up for what? has anyone even heard of this guy before he challenged pdub? i haven't. i haven't seen him fight either. i'm sure if the money is right...the fight will be made. williams would be a fool to go to germany to make this fight.

 

if no one in germany knows this guy....chances are no one in the u.s. knows him either. williams is not the type to back down from anyone...if the money is right..the fight will happen.

 

add to that....both are represented by al haymon. i think williams beats vernon in the same fashion he beat phillips. he may stop him even sooner.

 

Overpaid??? Not likely but only becasue Kohl is overpaid, and the German fans are being cheated....German fighters fight cupcakes at home for huge paydays, and all they have to do is promise the next fight will be the big one...Great fans in Germany but damn you guys are getting ripped off...Sergiy from what I have seen of him is a decent fighter one of the best that is fighting out of Germany but he has been fighting some real cupcakes, and drawing large numbers of fans...If he was fighting in the States vs those level of fighters he would be fighting in front of 800 people...In fact only the most well known US fighter would make much money fighting those guys...so in that case he is well overpaid...

but for the most part fighters arent overpaid, there is a real risk that every fight could leave them dead or unable to care for themselves the rest of their life...

 

Eh ya, loads of us say him take on Daniel Santos and thoroughly outbox(and floor) him, bar the Konecny fight he's been impressive since and before holding the WBO title he was European champion.

Maybe you only know fighters who've fought inside the bubble of American boxing.
